Kite Fest 2004

The 10th annual Industrial Alliance International Kite Festival took place on September 18 and 19th in Toronto. WOW what a treat!! Meeting so many nice people from around the world and spending time flying kites is a great way to spend a weekend. Bernie Houle from New Brunswick and I flew into Toronto on Thursday. Dieppe Sky-Lines Rokkaku Workshop

Saturday September 4th was the first Dieppe sky-lines kite club sewn kite workshop. The subject of this workshop was to teach basic kite building and sewing techniques as well as explain and demonstrate different applique methods. Bernie Houle and Peggy MacDonald (or Mr. and Mrs. Mountain Man) organized the workshop and were superb instructors.
